DESCRIPTION:The Human Rights Talks is a project of the FAU CHREN Human
  Rights Clinic in the winter term 2025/26\, which will take you on a v
 irtual world tour of human rights related NGOs in the style of „Arou
 nd the World in 80 Days“. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) work
 ing in the field of human rights are independent\, non-profit entities
  that operate at local\, national\, or international levels with the p
 rimary aim of promoting\, protecting\, and advancing human rights. The
 y engage in activities such as monitoring and reporting abuses\, advoc
 ating for legal and policy reforms\, raising public awareness\, provid
 ing support and protection to victims\, and fostering compliance with 
 international human rights standards. During ninety-minute online sess
 ions\, you will explore the world of NGOs and engage in discussions wi
 th experts from civil society practice in different world regions. Get
  to know how NGOs work\, how they analyse legal situations framing the
 ir work and how they create networks to help vulnerable groups of peop
 le in the countries and regions they operate. The Human Rights Talks w
 ill give you an impression of the diverse human rights issues in the d
 ifferent regions of the world – they also represent an opportunity f
 or global networking and finding out about what the world of defending
  human rights has to offer as a career perspective. The Talks will be 
 held in Friday sessions during the winter term (Zoom or\, in exception
