Loren Bustos is a PhD candidate and a DAAD scholar at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg). She was also an EU-ASEAN Young Leader Forum (YLF) representative in 2022 and was a Jean Monet Visiting Scholar in Singapore Management University (SMU) in 2024.
Her research focuses on the significance and integration of human rights and non-trade policy objectives within EU-ASEAN Trade and Economic Relations.
She earned her master’s degree in International Relations with business and legal aspects from the University of Szeged, Hungary and was a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holder. For her undergraduate, she finished a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a major in European Studies from De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.
As an International Relations professional, she specializes in the subject areas of international political economy, human rights, and sustainability policy framework in trade. Moreover, Loren has demonstrated meaningful years of professional experience working with advocacy institution, and regional non-profit organizations.
