Prof Dr Petra Bendel is Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Political Science at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. There she heads the research area Migration, Flight and Integration (MFI). She is a founding member of the Centre for Human Rights (CHREN) Erlangen-Nuremberg, FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, where she leads a variety of research projects as well as practice-oriented pilot projects on migration-related topics. She also contributes her research topics to university teaching in various Master’s and Bachelor’s degree programmes, where she ensures a practice-oriented exchange with policy-makers. One of her main areas of work is policy advice for the various political decision-making levels in migration, refugee and integration policy.
