FAU CHREN Human Rights Clinic Visit to Berlin

Clinic Project on the Right to Housing

Following the submission of its report on the Right to Housing, the FAU CHREN Human Rights Clinic was invited to visit its practice partner, Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e.V. (GFF), in Berlin.

During the visit, students engaged in an in-depth exchange with practicing lawyers at GFF that went beyond the academic framework of the Clinic project. Discussions focused on questions such as what it means to work as a lawyer in a non-governmental organization and which professional pathways are available after completing a law degree.

We would like to thank the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (Bundesministerium der Justiz und für Verbraucherschutz) for offering an introduction to the processes involved in the drafting and review of legislation.

Valuable Practical Perspectives

As part of the visit to Berlin, the students also gained insights into the work of a federal ministry.
