Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann

Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann studied International Cultural and Economic Studies (Kulturwirt) at the University of Passau, the University of Málaga in Spain, and the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. After graduating from Passau, he worked at the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics from 2003 to 2005. In 2009, he earned his Ph.D. in Business Ethics from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

From 2009 to 2012, he conducted research and taught as an assistant professor of social entrepreneurship at the Center for Sustainability Management at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

Since November 2012, he has held the Chair of Corporate Sustainability Management at FAU. His research focuses on sustainability management and social entrepreneurship, as well as business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
