Prof. Dr. Simone Derix holds the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History at the Department of History. Her research focuses on Europe and Germany in the 'long' 20th century, transnational, international and global perspectives, wealth, assets and property, cultural history of the political, family and kinship, and visual history.
